Terms and Conditions
Updated 1 October 2026
These terms apply when you use ordering, booking and gift card services powered by Hospora (the Platform) to buy from a venue. Please read them before you pay.
1. Who we are
Hospora Pty Ltd (Hospora, we, us) provides software that hospitality venues use to take orders, bookings and gift card sales online. The venue you are buying from (the Venue) is the business that sells you the food, drinks, booking or gift card. Hospora does not prepare or sell them.
By placing an order, making a booking, buying a gift card or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.
Some Venues have extra conditions for particular services, such as private function and venue hire terms. Where they do, those conditions are shown to you before you pay and apply in addition to these terms. If the two conflict, the Venue's conditions for that service apply.
2. Orders
An order is an offer to buy food and drinks from the Venue. It is confirmed only when you see an on-screen confirmation after your payment succeeds. A Venue may reject or cancel an order, for example if an item becomes unavailable or a price is wrong, and if it does, your payment is refunded.
Pickup. Please collect your order from the counter at the Venue soon after the estimated ready time. A Venue may not be able to hold or refund an order that isn't collected.
Dine-in. Dine-in orders depend on table availability and the Venue's capacity. By placing a dine-in order you confirm you are at the Venue.
Delivery. Where a Venue offers delivery, a third-party courier delivers your order. Delivery fees, timeframes and availability vary, and neither Hospora nor the Venue controls the courier.
3. Bookings
A booking is an arrangement between you and the Venue. The Platform lets you make the booking and pay any amount due, such as a deposit, reservation fee or table hire.
Deposits, minimum spends and cancellation rules depend on the type of booking and the Venue. They are shown while you book and in your confirmation email.
Private function and venue hire bookings are also subject to the Venue's own function and venue hire terms, which you must accept before you pay.
4. Gift cards
A gift card is issued by the Venue. It is valid for three years from the date of purchase, and the expiry date is shown when you check the balance.
A gift card can be used for food and drinks at the Venues shown on it. It can't be exchanged for cash and is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
Keep your gift card code safe. Anyone who has the code may be able to use the balance.
When you buy a gift card for someone else, you are responsible for entering the right email address and for being allowed to give us the recipient's details. You can choose a date for the gift card to be sent. If you don't, it is sent shortly after your payment.
5. Prices, fees and payments
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
Hospora Platform Fee. When you pay online through the Platform, a Platform Fee applies to each order, pool table booking and gift card purchase. It helps us provide and run the Platform. The fee is a fixed amount that depends on what you are paying, after any discounts, and it is the same whichever payment method you use:
| Amount | Platform Fee |
|---|---|
| $0.01 to $24.99 | $0.50 |
| $25 to $49.99 | $1.00 |
| $50 to $74.99 | $1.50 |
| $75 to $99.99 | $2.00 |
| $100 and over | $2.00 capped |
The Platform Fee is shown as its own line, and included in the total, before you confirm payment. It doesn't apply to a total of $0, or to deposits for section, large group and function bookings. From 1 October 2026 it replaces the card surcharge and the day-of-week and public holiday surcharges that were previously added to some online orders and gift card purchases. If your payment is refunded in full, the Platform Fee is refunded too. You can read more in Hospora Platform Fee.
Payments. Payments are processed by Square on the Venue's behalf. You enter your card details into Square's secure payment form, and we never see or store your full card number. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available where your device supports them. If we can't complete your order after your payment has been authorised, we cancel or refund the payment.
6. Cancellations, refunds and issues
Orders. Once an order is confirmed and paid, it can't be cancelled. If your order arrives incorrect or in unsatisfactory condition, contact the Venue within 24 hours. The Venue will work to resolve the issue, which may include a full or partial refund at the Venue's discretion.
Bookings and gift cards. The cancellation, deposit and refund conditions shown when you book or buy apply, together with section 4 for gift cards.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. How long they take to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees that can't be excluded.
7. Promotions and promo codes
Promotions and promo codes have their own conditions, such as eligible order types, minimum spend, validity period and single use. Promo codes can't be combined unless the promotion says they can. A Venue may withdraw or change a promotion at any time.
8. Loyalty rewards
Some Venues offer a loyalty or rewards programme through the Platform. Where a Venue does, it sets the rules, including how points are earned, whether they expire and which rewards are available, and tells you when you join.
Points and rewards have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged. Points are linked to your email address, so please keep it accurate. Points can be cancelled if a programme is misused, for example by creating duplicate accounts or manipulating orders.
A Venue may change or end its programme, and we will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.
9. Using the Platform
You agree to give accurate information, including a working email address so we can send your confirmation.
You agree not to misuse the Platform. That includes trying to reach systems or data you aren't authorised to access, submitting false or misleading information, interfering with how the Platform or a Venue's services work, or using the Platform for anything unlawful.
10. Intellectual property
The Platform's software and design belong to Hospora or its licensors. A Venue's name, logo, menus and photos belong to the Venue or its licensors. Australian copyright and intellectual property law protects them, and you may not copy, distribute or commercially use them without written permission.
11. Availability
We work to keep the Platform running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may pause it for maintenance or to protect its security.
12. Liability
The Venue is responsible for the food, drinks, bookings and gift cards it provides. Hospora is responsible for the Platform.
To the maximum extent the Australian Consumer Law allows, Hospora is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform. Our liability for any direct loss is limited to the amount you paid for the order, booking or gift card that the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or consumer guarantee you can't lawfully give up.
13. Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. The version that applies to a purchase is the one in force when you pay, and continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and Hospora submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
16. Contact us
For help with a specific order, booking or gift card, contact the Venue you paid. For questions about these terms or the Platform, email Hospora Pty Ltd at hello@hospora.app.
